Lot # 1150

GERMAN MILITARY FLINTLOCK PISTOL MARKED POTTSDAM GS,

.65 caliber, 9.5" barrel, German proofs on the left side of barrel. Lockplate marked with a large crown, Pottsdam GS. Wood stock with brass furniture. (EST $1000-$2000)

Condition: All metal surfaces are a light brown with pitting. Lockplate is smooth and brown with some pitting around the pan top of hammer and frizzen. Wood has minor dents and mars. Brass furniture has a nice patinated look.

ca early 1860s. 11mm pinfire, 6.25", LeFaucheux marked on the left side of barrel, wood grips. (EST $300-$500)

Condition: All metal surfaces are grey and pitted with dark spots. Grips are darkened with nicks and dings.

MARIETTE PINFIRE REVOLVER,

12 mm pinfire, 6.5" barrel, serial number 929. Checkered wood grips. (EST $500-$700)

Condition: Metal is grey-to-brown with scattered areas of pitting. The grips are worn. A fine Civil War gun.

GERMAN PERCUSSION PISTOL,

.50 caliber smooth bore, 8" barrel with side flats and a sighting flat. Lockplate is flat. The full stock is horn tipped and has raised carvings around the lock, tang and ramrod ferrules. Brass furniture is lightly engraved. The ramrod is a replacement. (EST $700-$900)

Condition: A very clean pistol with a nice red patinated stock. The front end of stock on the left side at horn tip is cracked. The metal is a nice smooth grey-to-brown with some very light pitting.

ENGLISH PERCUSSION DUELING PISTOL,

.65 caliber smoothbore, 8.75" octagonal barrel. Lockplate marked Willams & Powell, Liverpool, England. Banknote style engraving on the lock, back of barrel and breech. Checkered walnut stock with a French style grip with ebony-capped butt. Spur is off the triggerguard. Single-set trigger, silver nose cap and silver trim. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: Barrel, lock, breech and triggerguard are smooth plum mixing with brown with some very light pitting around the percussion bolster. Stock has darkened.

PAIR OF ENGLISH QUEEN ANNE PISTOLS,

.50 caliber rifled, percussion drums, 6.5" cannon style barrels. Nicely raised carvings around the tangs with Queen Anne style silver buttcaps. (EST $1500-$2000)

Condition: Barrels are smooth brown with some light pitting. One pistol has a crack in the grip area, the other has good wood with some scratches, dings and mars. Overall excellent.

TOWER PERCUSSION PISTOL,

.64 bore, 12" round barrel, long sea service. Tower marked lock. Crown with GR markings on the lock. Converted from flint to percussion with bolster style rendition. Replacement ramrod. Belt hook is missing. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: Barrel is brown and pitted. Lockplate is worn with some pitting and grey-to-brown color. Stock has chips at butt cap and a split at the nosecap.

FRENCH MILITARY REVOLVER,

765 mm, 4.5" barrel, serial number H72222. Blued finish with checkered wood grips. Hammer, trigger and loading gate are finished in straw color. (EST $300-$500)

Condition: Metal surfaces retain ca 90% soft original blue finish. Hammer, trigger and side loading gate retain ca 60% straw color. Excellent condition.

Condition: All metal surfaces have been lightly cleaned to bright. A very nice pair of original Scottish ramhorn pistols.

.70 bore, 10.5" barrel. Firearm was once flintlock and converted to percussion by a blacksmith. Walnut stock with brass furniture. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: All metal surfaces are a deep dark brown with pitting. Brass has nicely tarnished. Wood with nicks and dings.

PERCUSSION BACK-ACTION LOCK CASED PISTOLS,

.46 caliber, 4.5" octagonal barrel. Back-action lock, checkered walnut stock with German silver furniture and cap box in butt. Steel ramrod. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: Both pistols are in excellent condition. Barrels retain a light Damascus style finish. Locks are polished bright. Stock has some nicks and dings. Both pistols are in a contemporary walnut box.

LOT OF FOUR PISTOLS; TWO BRITISH BULLDOGS, ENGLISH DOUBLE BARREL PISTOL AND A FLARE GUN,

7mm caliber, one with a 2.5" barrel and the other with 1.750" barrel. Blued finish with checkered wood grips. A brass barrel flare pistol with wood grips. Belgium double barrel percussion pistol. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: One of the Bulldog's finish has turned brown, the other retains ca 90% original blue finish. Flint pistol has nicely tarnished and needs a mainspring. The double barrel percussion is mostly a dark brown patina.

COMMEMORATIVE PAIR OF FLINTLOCK PISTOLS - HAMILTON AND BURR,

.54 caliber smoothbore, 9.5" octagonal barrel. Lockplate marked Wogdon. These pistols were made to commemorate the great Hamilton and Burr duel. (EST $1500-$2000)

Condition: Pistols are as new and in their original case.

BRONZE SALUTE CANNON WITH KING GEORGE V ROYAL CYPHER,

14.5" barrel with the royal cypher. Barrel with three bands around it. Side trunnion marked W.Co 1812 and EPW 7/60. Carriage marked 24/P3 on both sides. Both sides of cannon breech with 3cm calibration. 15lb. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: Excellent. Cannon has an overall outstanding presence.

Condition: All steel blades with nominal pitting.

RELIC FRENCH CHARLEVILLE MUSKET,

.70 caliber, 25" barrel. (EST $100-$200)

Condition: Barrel is brown and covered in pitting and has been shortened. Lock is missing all its external parts. Stock is chipped out behind the lock. Stock is heavily nicked and dinged and has some paint spots. Quite possibly an Indian saddle gun.

Condition: Both are reproductions that have been nicely aged to look old.

14 gauge, 34.5" barrels, percussion back-action locks, double triggers. Curly maple stock with silver inlays. (EST $100-$300)

Condition: Barrels and locks are grey with several areas of pitting. Missing ramrod. Wood with fine stripes and lots of dings and mars.

Condition: Metal surfaces retain ca 98% original finish with only a few nominal dings and mars. Walnut checkered stock retains all of its original finish with a few minor handling marks. With original box. Overall excellent.

* BROWNING T-BOLT BOLT-ACTION RIFLE,

.22 long rifle, 24" barrel, serial number 12540X6. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: Metal surfaces retain all of their original finish with the exception of a very light .25" scratch on top of receiver. Walnut checkered stock rates excellent with only a couple of minor dings. Desirable and collectible Browning Rifle.

* PAIR OF SINGLE-BARREL SHOTGUNS,

first shotgun is a Remington Model 1894 12 gauge single barrel shotgun with a 32" full choke barrel and a surprisingly very good bore.

Second shotgun is a Springfield Arms company single barrel 410 hammer gun with a 26" full choke barrel and has an excellent bore. (EST $100-$200)

Condition: First gun is missing its cocking lever on the left side of the frame. Retains most of its original blue on barrels and case colored receiver, but is covered in moderate rust and pitting throughout. Walnut stock has been chipped at toe ca 3" long and has had a poor repair job. Forearm is still solid. Second gun's finish has turned to a dirty brown patina. Wood rates very good with a tight 3/4" crack where stock meets frame. Appears to be mechanically functional. Overall fair condition.

* MARLIN MODEL 30AS LEVER-ACTION RIFLE,

.30-30 caliber, 20" barrel, serial number 15020455. (EST $250-$400)

Condition: This handy little brush rifle is in near new condition. It has had sling swivels added and the one in the buttstock is slightly off center. Small sliver of wood about to come out, but is still intact. This carbine is outfitted with a "Tasco" 3x12 variable power scope.

.22 short long or long rifle, 24" round barrel, magazine tube fed. Walnut buttstock with hard rubber buttplate. (EST $100-$300)

Condition: Barrel and magazine tube retain ca 90% original blue, but thinning. Buttstock with nominal dings and scratches. Excellent hard rubber buttplate.

* REMINGTON MODEL 870 SHOTGUN,

12 gauge, 30" ventilated rib barrel with full choke, serial number T003110V. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: Barrel retains virtually all of its original blued finish. Receiver shows modern carry wear and has scattered pinpricked rust spots. Factory wood rates very good-to-excellent. Shotgun rates very good overall.

Condition: Blued finish is smooth and turning to a light patina. Wood with light finish with expected dings and mars.

* REMINGTON MODEL 510 BOLT-ACTION RIFLE,

.22 caliber, 25" barrel. Remington markings on barrel. Walnut stock and hard rubber buttplate. (EST $100-$200)

Condition: All metal surfaces retain ca 95% original blue finish. Bolt handle retains ca 95% case case color. Excellent buttplate. Stock with minimal dings and scratches.

* REMINGTON MODEL 592M BOLT-ACTION RIFLE,

.5mm caliber, 24" barrel, serial number 1153368. (EST $100-$200)

Condition: Rifle retains virtually all of its original blued finish and has a Savage 4x scope with blurry optics and fine cross hairs. Straight grain walnut stock would rate excellent if not for one .5" x .125" gouge. Excellent overall condition.

* REMINGTON MODEL 7400 SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE,

.30-06 caliber, 23" barrel, serial number B8204910. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: Metal surfaces retain all of their original blued finish. Bottom of magazine has a small patch of rust pitting about the size of a match head. Walnut stocks rate excellent with only two minor dings.

.22 short long or long rifle, 24" octagonal barrel, serial number 136805. Savage markings on the top of barrel, walnut pistol grip, buttstock and forearm. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: All metal surfaces retain ca 50% original blue finish turning to plum. Buttstock and forearm retain most of the original oil finish with some scratches, dings and mars.

* STEVENS MODEL 59A SHOTGUN AND STEVENS MODEL 15A RIFLE,

Model 59A is a 410 gauge, bolt-action tube-fed repeater with 24" full choke barrel. Model 15A is a .22 single-shot short long or long boy's bolt-action rifle with 23.5" barrel. (EST $200-$300)

Condition: Model 59A shows moderate wear and use with scattered light pinpricked rust. Buttstock has been gently refinished and has many light scratches underneath finish. Overall in very good condition. Model 15A is in very good condition and retains most of its original blue. Stock has several minor dings. Overall very good-to-excellent.

* STEVENS MODEL 67 SERIES E PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUN,

410 gauge, 26" ventilated rib barrel with modified choke, serial number E266885. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: Metal surfaces retain ca 96% original blued finish with only loss on the magazine tube and high edges of triggerguard. Hardwood stock and forearm rate excellent with only a few minor abrasions to the buttstock. Excellent overall condition.

Condition: This beginner's shotgun is in near new condition with the only visible wear being a couple of .25" scratches on the bottom of the painted triggerguard.

Condition: Lacquered finish over cased color finish that has several scratches into the lacquer, but not into the metal. Firearm is as new and in its original box.

Model 1000 is a break barrel, .177 caliber. Composite stock, rifled steel barrel, 350 feet per second. Plus, Model 800X is a break barrel .177 caliber. Wood stock, 800 feet per second. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: Pellet rifles are new in their original boxes and have never been opened. Both still have the factory staples holding the boxes closed.

Condition: Nickel steel barrel retains ca 90% original blue finish with most loss on the bottom from slide action. Receiver retains ca 70% mottled and thinning blued finish. Hardwood stocks are replacements Buttstock has a 3" sound crack at the heel and running with the grain. Overall good-to-very-good condition.

Condition: Metal surfaces are a mixture of brown patina and light rust pitting. Has initials WJG and date 7-25-80 lightly scratched into top of barrel at receiver. Walnut stock was likely refinished at one point and in very good condition.

* WINCHESTER MODEL 94 HIGH-GRADE RIFLE,

.22 short, long or long rifle caliber, 20" barrel, serial number F689168. (EST $200-$400)

Condition: This rifle is in near new condition with a couple of minor dings and a .25" scratch on top of barrel. Rifle features high-grade and highly figured walnut checkered stock. Left side of receiver is engraved with a raccoon in an oval and the remainder is tastefully scroll engraved. Right side of receiver features a long-eared coon dog in an oval and continues with a floral engraved pattern. Outfitted with a Leupold 2.5 power compact scope. Rear sight is broken off.
