BROWN LEATHER SADDLEBAGS,

with vestige of calfskin on exterior of both bags. Bottom of both bags with intricate hand-stitched interlaced pattern. Both sides with one buckle and a severed strap. Straps are sewn into the bag in a "Y" configuration. Intricate circular machine tooled design on leather piece connecting the two bags. Interior of both bags is a brown cotton lining with olive green stripes. Both bags 13" x 14" and overall length 43.5". (EST $300-$500)

Condition: One buckle missing. Leather is supple and in very good condition. One of the bags is lacking ca 80% of its original stitching around the perimeter. Overall very fine saddlebag.

IRON STAGECOACH STRONG BOX AND TRUNK COVERED WITH ANIMAL HIDE,

strongbox is covered in black paint. Complete with two handles secured by two floral escutcheons and hinged lid. 7.5" height, 12.5" length, 8.75" width and 43 lbs. Plus, box covered with animal hide secured by brass domed tacks. Complete with lock plate and leather handle. Vestiges of animal fur and newspaper lining visible. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: Strongbox retains ca 90% original black paint. Animal hide box lacking key. Hide is peeling in numerous areas and several brass domed tacks are missing.

ca 1890s. Both gloves with identical design with flowers rendered in red, white, blue, green, aqua, black and pink beads. Fringe border and red trim. Interior of gloves with painted floral scenes. Plus spare pair of contemporary leather gloves. (EST $400-$600)

scabbard stamped B.G. Forrester on top rear side. 28.5" x 7.5" tooled leather scabbard with geometric floral patterns. Edges are wound with leather string. Complete with leather straps. Braided leather quirt measures 41". Saddle bag measures 32" x 9" with tooled pattern and rosettes with tassels. Leather holster with tooled scroll pattern. Rear of leather holster marked Mexico. BRONZE "MOUNTAIN MAN" BRONZE SCULPTURE SIGNED BOB SCRIVER 1966,

back of statue further marked -6- Bighorn Foundry. 32 lbs. 14.5" total height. Wood base is 14" length and 8.5" wide.

Bob Macfie Scriver (1914-1999) was a Montana native who was known for his Western and animal sculptures. He was a member of the Cowboy Artist of America and the National Academy of Western Art. In 1981 Winchester Arms Company commissioned him to do a rendition of the Winchester rider. The series set a new sales record for contemporary sculptures. (EST $300-$500)

back base of bronze marked 75/100. Wood base with brass plaque that reads Charlie/Joe Beeler. measures 6" x 6.5". Overall height is 17".

Joe Neil Beeler (1931-2006) lived in Arizona. In 1965 he became one of the founding members of the Cowboy Artists of America. (EST $700-$900)

* BERNARDELLI DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN PLUS ONE EXTRA PAIR OF BARRELS,

12 gauge, 22" barrels, serial number 21121. One set of barrels has chokes and are cylinder bores and full, the other set is modified and has the cylinder bore. Blued barrels. Engraved satin plated sidelocks and action. Finely figured checkered walnut buttstock and forearm. Hard rubber buttplate. (EST $1500-$2500)

Condition: Shotgun is very close to being in new condition, retaining ca 98% original blue finish and all of the plated finsh. Wood with minor scratches and dings.

* CHARLES BOSWELL ENGLISH SHOTGUN WITH LEATHER CASE PLUS FACTORY LETTER,

20 gauge, bore diameter is .637, 26.75" barrels, automatic ejectors. Serial number 8302 marked on the top of barrels between Charles Boswell London in gold. With bank note style engraving on the barrels, tang, sidelocks, frame and triggerguard. Barrels finish is a beautiful high-polished plum brown. With gold bands at the back of barrels. Sidelocks, frame and forearm fittings are finished in case colors. All pins in the locks are a highly polished white color. Triggerguard is a high-polished blue finish. Safety and top lever are finished in blue. The word safe is in gold. Finely figured checkered Spanish black walnut stock and forearm. With gold incription plate behind checkering at triggerguard. Checkered buttplate. Cased in a leather trunk style case with brass corners.

Boswell is a London based company that moved to Toronto, Canada in 1983. This is the second gun that was made in America and it was made for an exhibition. This is the first Boswell sidelock made in Canada. Complete with factory letter. (EST $15000-$20000)

Condition: This shotgun is one of the finest ever made in this gauge. It is almost new with two microscopic scratches. The minute scratches don't distract from the firearm. A true gentleman's sporting gun.

16 gauge, 27" round barrel, no serial number. Receiver marked Germany. Blued finish, checkered walnut stock. With a leather boot. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: Blue finish has had a coat of shellac applied to protect the finish. Wood stock has had a coat of shellac to protect the wood as well. Some nicks and dings.

* J.P. SAUER THREE BARREL DRILLING RIFLE,

12 gauge double and a 30-06 rifle barrel, 24" barrels, serial number F6997. Made by J.P. Sauer and Son in western Germany. Engraved satin finished action with blued barrels, horn triggerguard, checkered walnut buttstock and forearm. Sling swivels and recoil pad. With claw mounts and scope by Hensoldt Wetzlar Digital 4x32. (EST $1500-$2500)

Condition: Barrels retain ca 98% original blue finish. Action with all of its finish. Buttstock and forearm in excellent condition with a few minor scratches. Optics in the scope are mint and clear and the bores are in mint condition.

AUG WOLF COMBINATION RIFLE/SHOTGUN,

16 gauge shotgun and rifle barrel is 8.7mm as marked on the water table. Serial number 5183. Blued barrels with engraved boxlock-action Greener style cross bolt. Walnut buttstock and forearm with cartridge holder in the toe of stock. The rifle's side barrel has been sleeved to a smaller caliber, appears to be like a .22 Hornet. (EST $2000-$2500)

Condition: Barrels retain ca 80% original soft blue finish. Boxlock is a silvery grey with some colors in the protected areas. Buttstock and forearm with some scratches and dings.

BELGIAN OVER AND UNDER SHOTGUN,

16 gauge chokes are full and modified, 27.5" barrels and solid rib. Serial number 33661. Frame is nicely engraved. Blued barrels and checkered walnut stock and forearm. Serrated wood butt. 14.250" trigger pull with. (EST $1500-$2500)

Condition: Barrels retain ca 90% original blue finish, but thinning. Frame is very sharp and a silver color. Buttstock and forearm with minimal scratches and dings.

ENGLISH DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN,

12 gauge, 26" barrels, forward-action locks. No markings on the rib, only British proofs on the underside. Banknote style engraving on the locks, tang and triggerguard. Fancy checkered buttstock and forearm area. (EST $600-$800)

Condition: Metal surfaces retain ca 80% original brown finish, but thinning. Locks are crisp and smooth. Stock is excellent with a few scratches, dings and mars.

GERMAN SCHUETZEN RIFLE BY NEUCHATEL,

.70 bore, 36" octagonal swamped barrel. Patent breech, forward-action lock with serpent hammer. Barrel held to stock by four wedges, fancy checkered fruitwood stock with right or left cheek piece. Brass Schuetezen-style buttplate, fancy finger grooved brass triggerguard. Lock marked Manger A. Neuchatel. Horn nosecap, with bone tip ramrod. (EST $1000-$2000)

Condition: Barrel is a smooth brown, mixed with dark patina. Lock is smooth brown. Brass has nice patina. Wood with normal nicks and dings from use.

GERMAN PERCUSSION RIFLE,

.52 caliber, 33" flared octagonal barrel, marked on top of barrel M. Cerwenka W. Beroune. Jaeger style rifle. Percussion inside hammer lock, walnut stock with a full finger style triggerguard, double-set trigger and raised carving and border around the lines of the stock. One sidelock screw has its own fly shape to be able to pull it without a screw driver. Lockplate and breech with floral style engraving, on the rear of lock a military style motif. A rear tang sight hole behind tang. Tang sight is missing. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: All metal is smooth with light brown patina mixed with some light salt and pepper pitting. Stock has had a repair using a brass strip in the left wrist area. Stock with normal dings and mars. Overall an excellent example of a Jaeger rifle.

GERMAN PINFIRE RIFLE SHOTGUN SIDE BY SIDE AND EXTRA SHOTGUN BARRELS,

16 gauge shotgun and .50 caliber rifle, 28" barrels, the extra set of barrels are 16 gauge shotgun side by side. Barrels are brown, with back-action locks. Frame, locks and trigger bow are very nicely engraved with floral patterns, depiction of a standing deer and with a stag on the triggerguard. Top of barrel marked Christoph Funk in Suhl in silver on one set of barrels and the other marked in gold. Checkered buttstock with cheek piece and horn triggerguard. Checkered forearm with takedown lever. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: Rifle shotgun barrel retains ca 90% original brown finish and is very sharp and crisp. Shotgun barrels are grey-to-brown in color. Bores are excellent. Engraving on the locks and back of tang area are very sharp and crisp. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with some dings and mars.

Condition: Metal surfaces retain ca 30% original blue finish with some moderate pitting on top of slide and barrel. Black plastic grips rate very good with many scratches and a couple of small chips and have no major defects. Overall rates good-to-very good.

Condition: All metal surfaces are gunmetal grey with some light salt and pepper pitting. Very sharp and crisp piece. The walnut case shows use and still retains the original lining. A nice set.

Condition: This WWII pistol retains most of its original finish with some loss at the high edges and some scattered pinprick rust spots. Wooden checkered grips rate very good-to-near excellent with only a couple of minor dings. Overall a very nice and affordable WWII collector's piece.

EARLY ENGRAVED GERMAN POWDER FLASK FOR WHEEL-LOCK MUSKET,

ca 17th century, probably of Germanic origin, body is a rectangular section of wood curved into an arc. Obverse with engraved oval bust profile of a soldier surounded by floral ornament. Verso with three series of concentric circles. Both sides of flask with engraved spiral pattern. Complete with wood plug. Wood base with carved initials HK and an entwined ST. (EST $1000-$1500)

Condition: Wood with some light wear on right verso.

Germanic style armor with ornate embellishment. 12.5" visor. 50.5" sword with 41.5" double-edged blade. Grips are wound with metallic wire. Ornate pommel with four pieced holes. 72" overall height. Black painted wood base measures 19"x19"x6". (EST $2000-$4000)

Condition: Armor's movement functions properly. Complete and in excellent condition.

FIRST REGIMENT OF GUARDS IN 1745 PUBLISHED BY ACKERMANN,

subtext reads London Published Aug. 31st, 1853 by Ackermann and Co. Drawn by B. Clayton and Painted by Johnson & Bessent. Three soldiers are identified from left to right as Private of the Grenadier Companies, Drummer and Sergeant. 17" x 23" without frame, 18.5" x 24" with frame. In a black wood frame with gild beaded borders. (EST $400-$600)

Condition: Even foxing throughout.

THIRD MODEL BROWN BESS FLINTLOCK RIFLE WITH BAYONET,

ca 1810, 39" barrel, Birmingham proofs on the left side of barrel and a number 1907 that is rendered in period style numbers. Typical broad shaped tang with beaver tail. Lock marked Tower with crown and GR. Brass sideplate is marked ELB. Walnut stock with brass furniture. Bayonet is 21" long and the blade is 17". (EST $3000-$4000)

Condition: All metal surfaces are smooth with a grey look and with some scattered light salt and pepper pitting. Wood shows lots of use with scratches, dings and mars. Still retains a very nice red-to-yellow look. No cracks or splits. Brass furniture has a nice patinated look. Original flint and appears to be all original. Bayonet is in very good condition with some light pitting. Marked with a large "79" and a crown and "R." Further marked with "C & F Rob."

ENGLISH FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BY TWIG,

11" cannon style brass barrel, with folding bayonet on the top of barrel. Birmingham proofs on the left flat of barrel. Brass triggerguard and buttplate. Lock with safety on it. Walnut stock with checkered wrist. (EST $2500-$3500)

Condition: Brass furniture and barrel have a nice, untouched and tarnished look. Lock has nice dark patinated look. Safety bar is severed off. Stock with a beautiful red patinated look and is untouched and still has a great open grained look.

.60 caliber smoothbore, 9" brass octagonal-to-round barrel. Marked on top of barrel London. With British proofs on the left flat. Wood stock with brass furniture. (EST $800-$1200)

Condition: Brass barrel is nice and sharp with clear markings. The barrel and furniture has been lightly polished to bright. Wood stock has minimal scratches, dings and mars.

ENGLISH FLINTLOCK PISTOL WITH SILVER WIRE INLAY,

ca 1770-1790, .65 caliber smoothbore, 8" iron cannon style barrel. Iron barrel is beautifully hand-chased with raised panoply of arms. Gold is used to highlight the chase work on the cannon barrel. The hammer on the flintlock has a raised panoply of arms. Lockplate marked Wilson. Pan is gold flashed. The entire stock is covered in silver wire inlay, with military motifs. All furniture is cast silver and high relief. (EST $3000-$4500)

Condition: Barrel and lock are a beautiful deep chocolate brown. The stock is excellent with a few minor pieces of silver wire missing. An outstanding pistol more than likely made for a Eastern Potentate.

Condition: All brass has a dull tarnished look. The stock has a nice aged look with some scratches, dings and mars. Ramrod is a replacement.

.40 caliber smoothbore, 2.5" cannon style barrel. Side of boxlock marked R. Westley. British proofs on the bottom of barrel. Walnut grips with silver wire inlays. (EST $2000-$2500)

Condition: All metal surfaces have been lightly cleaned with very light scattered salt and pepper pitting. Grips are dark, with all of the silver wire still intact.

ENGLISH STYLE FLINTLOCK PISTOL,

.65 caliber smoothbore, 8.5" octagonal barrel. Patent breech, with two gold bands at breech. Lock with safety, engraving on the lockplate, breech and triggerguard. Walnut checkered wood stock, steel ferrules and wood ramrod. (EST $800-$1200)

Condition: Barrel has been cleaned and expertly rebrowned. Lockplate, hammer and frizzen have been cleaned and rehardened. Stock has had some refinished work with the checkering on the left side worn.

PAIR OF CASED ENGLISH FLINTLOCK PISTOLS,

.65 caliber smooth bore, 9" brown Damascus finished octagonal barrels, with Birmingham proofs. Rear sight on the breech and German silver front sight. Embellishment on the tangs, lockplate and hammer. Full-stocked with checkered butts. Ramrods with horn tips. Triggerguards with pineapple finials. Steel furniture, roller on the frizzen spring. Lockplates marked Heathcote and Evans. Oak case with a green base and a trade label of William Bond & Company. Case contains the mold, flask and rosewood ramrod. Complete with a rosewood handle screw driver. The center partition is loose. Case is fitted with a brass carrying ring.

The pistols fit the case extremely well and the label is of a different company. Without performing further research, one may entertain the notion that the new company purchased the original maker. (EST $7000-$9000)

Condition: The barrel retains ca 90% brown finish, but thinning. The tang and lockplate have a nice grey-to-brown finish, but very sharp and crisp. Silver inscription on the back of butt is nicely tarnished black. Wood is very sharp and crisp with some dings and bruises. Oak case has some scratches and dings. Otherwise, in excellent condition.

11mm, 6" septagonal barrel, serial number 718 Foreign proof with a crown over a V. High blued finish, hand engraved floral design. Straw colored hammer and trigger. Hand-carved ebony grips. Lanyard ring in butt. (EST $700-$900)

Condition: All metal surfaces retains ca 80% strong vivid high-blue finish. Hammer and trigger retain ca 50% of straw colors, otherwise beginning to thin. Engraving and carving on grips is typical of European fashion. Overall, gun is in excellent condition.

.31 caliber, 2.5" round barrel with flutes. Double-action bar hammer. Checkered walnut grips. Bag shaped grips with flat metal butt. Marked on left side of frame Chas. Osborne. Engraved on sides with floral designs. (EST $300-$500)

Condition: Barrel is a nice chocolate brown with some scattered areas of light surface pitting. Frame and hammer are a nice dark brown. The grips are dark, but could be cleaned to better condition.
