with 4.75 single-edged blade with 0.1 choil, nickel quillon/guard, made from a thinned U.S. nickel coin, fitted German silver flat pommel with beveled edge and single-piece antler carved on right face with a very well-done running deer, all with old polished patina, total length is 9.25. Includes a slightly later, but fitted laced and riveted brown leather sheath, with belt loop and tassel with 1 turned wooden bead and 2 glass trade beads, total length less tassel 7.7. 14.75 long, single-edged curved forged steel blade with forged iron collar and 2-piece coco bolo grip attached with 3 iron rivets, all with fine old patina. Includes original tooled brown leather sheath with tooled scroll work edging, sheet brass 1.9 throat and matching 2.2 tip with belt loop, total length 16.8. (Cole, 1973: 6) (EST $400-$500)
Condition: Minor scuffing on sheath, else EXC. The blade is darkened with some salt and pepper pitting and stains.

VOLCANIC ARMS CO. LEVER-ACTION PISTOL,
.41 caliber, 8" barrel, serial number 1482, engraved brass fame with walnut grips. (EST $2500-$4000)
Condition: Barrel has sharp markings and some brown finish remaining mixed with pitting and some re-browned coloring. The brass frame has been cleaned at one time and has begun to repatinate. The grip has a chip out at the top on right side as well as some small notches on the bottom of grip.

.45 caliber, 5" barrel, serial number 26103. Marked on top of barrel in a single-line barrel address. Two-line patent markings. Walnut wood grips. (EST $1500-$2000)
Condition: Void of original finish with scattered areas of pitting throughout the revolver. The barrel has been cut down to 5". The grips are weathered and show age, matching the rest of the revolver. All serial numbers match. Mechanically functional.

Condition: Barrel and ejector retains ca 95% blue finish. The frame retains ca 80% case colors, but thinning. Cylinder retains ca 85% of its original blue. The hard rubber grips are in excellent condition. Mechanically functional.

.45 LC caliber, 7.5" barrel, serial number 181238. Single-line barrel address, and patent markings on left side of frame. Blue finish. Case-colored frame. Hard rubber grips. (EST $1000-$1500)
Condition: Barrel ejector and cylinder have been reblued and retain ca 98% blue finish. The backstrap and trigger guard are reblued as well. The frame has been dressed off and has a dull look. The hard rubber grips are excellent. Complete with the studded hammer screw to accommodate a shoulder stock. Bottom of butt marked with W.F. Co. spurious markings. Mechanically functional.

Condition: Entire metal surfaces retain ca 50% original nickel finish, but thinning. Metal has been lightly cleaned to enhance the nickel finish. Hard rubber grips are very worn. Overall a very sharp and crisp revolver. Mechanically functional.

.45 caliber, 4.75" barrel, serial number 50024. Single-line barrel address. Three-line patent markings on frame. HN stamped on all parts. Wood grips and nickeled finish. Void of U.S. markings on frame. (EST $1500-$2000)
Condition: The revolver was originally nickel plated. Ca 40% nickel plating remaining with most in the protected areas. Some light pitting scattered on barrel and cylinder. All parts have the HN sub-inspector's initials. Wood grips are a later replacement and are in excellent condition. Mechanically functional.

COLT SINGLE-ACTION SHERIFF'S MODEL REVOLVER,
.45 caliber, 3.5" barrel, serial number 172734, barrel with two-line address on top. Left side of barrel with caliber markings in a banner. Left side of frame with two-line patent dates. Frame is a black powder frame with ejector release screw in the front under cylinder pin. Factory engraved with carved bull's head pearl grips, silver-plated finish. Backstrap with factory inscription Johnnie Johnson. Inscription on bottom of butt reads Mrs. Roberto. Accompanying this revolver is original factory letter. This revolver was shiped to H. Woodhaus & Son on September 15, 1897. (EST $45000-$65000)
Condition: Barrel retains ca 40% original silver finish, with finish gone on the sides of barrel as it was carried in a holster. The frame retains ca 40% original silver finish on the sides of frame and in the protected areas. Backstrap and trigger guard retains ca 40% original silver-plated finish. The cylinder has traces of silver-plated finish in the protected areas. Some pitting is evident on the front of cylinder and around each of the chambers of the cylinder. The hammer retains ca 60% original silver finish. Some light pitting around the top strap and rear section of the barrel. It is totally untouched; has never been cleaned or tampered with. The Colt factory letter attests to the engraving, the finish, carved pearl grips, and inscription. This is an outstanding example of a very rare factory-engraved sheriff's model revolver.

COLT MODEL 1878 DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER,
.45 caliber, 7.5" barrel, serial number 3801. Blued finish with checkered walnut grips and lanyard ring in the butt. Colt markings on the barrel. (EST $2000-$3000)
Condition: Barrel retains ca 50% original blue finish with the rest flaking to a plum color. The ejector rod with ca 40% original blue, and the outer edge is worn from being in a holster. The cylinder retains ca 70% original blue finish with the rest turning plum. Frame retains ca 90% original blue finish. The checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition with all the original varnish finish.

.44 CF caliber, 7.5" barrel, serial number 104. .44 markings on trigger guard. Barrel marked E. Remington and Sons, Ilion New York, with nickel finish. Walnut grips with .44W markings. (EST $2500-$3500)
Condition: Revolver retains ca 70% original nickel finish with pitting on cylinder, left side of barrel, and top left side of frame. Walnut grips are in excellent condition with some dents and mars. A fine example of this rare revolver.
