French, ca 1500. An illuminated manuscript leaf from a Book of Hours. Twenty lines in Latin, on vellum, with 3/4 illuminated borders of panels and small architectural enclosures of birds, snails, and trees. Decorated initials of alternating orange and blue with liquid gold tracery, and decorated line endings. 4.25 x 7 in. (EST $500-$700)

French, ca 1450-1510. Three illuminated manuscript leaves from different Books of Hours, all in Latin, on vellum. Includes a page with text from the Canonical Hour of Nones, Rouen, ca 1490; a calendar leaf of November/December, Rouen, ca 1510; and one with decorated initials and borders of burnished gold and tempera, and rubrics in red, Franco-Flemish, ca 1450. 3.25 x 4.25-5.25 x 7 in. 19TH CENTURY BELGIAN LANDSCAPE BY SEVERDONCK AND LAUTERS,
oil on beveled panel, and a collaboration between well known landscape artist Guillaume Lauters (Belgian, 19th/20th century) and prolific animal painter Franz Van Severdonck (Belgian, 1809-1889). The painting is double signed, Lauters in l.r., and Severdonck l.l., and also carries an inscription on verso and is dated 1887. In substantial gilt and gesso frame with plaque; 12 x 17 in. (EST $3000-$5000)
Condition: Fine condition, minor craquelure.

Continental, 19th century. Of mahogany and mahogany veneers, the fall front opens to a stepped fitted interior, the sides of the case with outward scrolls, terminating in ball feet; ht. 32.5, wd. 44, dp. 22.5 in. (EST $1800-$3000)
Condition: Feet inverted.

DUTCH BAROQUE-STYLE BOOKCASE CABINET
Continental, ca 1880-1910, mahogany with pine secondary, in two sections, both with exuberant marquetry inlay. The upper section with shaped and arched pediment centering on a floral carving, over glazed doors. Inside, the serpentine shelves have singed veneer on the edges. The bombé lower section has two drawers over three, all with ornate brasses and tinted marquetry inlay; ht. 93, wd. 66, dp. 21.5 in. (EST $2500-$3500)

ca 1690-1720. A pair of late 17th-early 18th century brass Dutch or Continental pricket candlesticks, with triangular shafts raised on scrolled feet; heights 15 and 15.5 in. (See Caspall, 2000: 70, fig. 117.) (EST $500-$700)
Condition: One shaft repaired, make-do repair to one foot, few splits to shaft near top.

Condition: Shaft loose in base from worn threads, drip pan uneven.

ca 1680. Two late 17th century Spanish brass candlesticks, both with knopped stems and hand threaded posts, one with circular drip pan, the other with domed base over a square foot; heights 5, 6 in. (See Caspall, 2000: 98, fig. 185.) (EST $400-$600)
Condition: Small splits to sockets, wear.

PAIR OF DUTCH BAROQUE-STYLE BRASS TWO-TIER CHANDELIERS,
Continental, 20th century. Two Dutch Baroque-style brass twelve-light chandeliers, having turned and spherical standard fitted with S-scroll arms above ball pendants, crowned with brass Dutch-style figures; ht. 38, dia. 30 in. plus 14 in. original chain. (EST $1200-$2000)
Condition: Old wiring and rewiring.

French, ca 1830, unsigned. Eight day time and strike, enamel dial, filigree hands, silk thread suspension. Gilt bronze in the form of a chariot drawn by a swan carrying a neoclassical woman playing with a poodle. Black marble base with ormolu mounts. ht. 13, lg. 11 in. (EST $3000-$4000)
Condition: Currently running, bell absent, back movement cover probably replaced. Tiny dial crack at 5:30. We do not guarantee working order of clocks.

Two bolted urns, both of classical form, one with caryatid handles and painted panel of cavaliers on one side, and gilded cherub on a puce ground on the other, the other with scrolling handles inset with masked medallions and body painted with fruits and flowers. Both raised on gilded, square bases; ht. 14, 11 in. (EST $600-$800)
Condition: Wear to gilding throughout, bolt loose on larger urn.
