American, probably Connecticut, ca 1725-50, cherry with pine secondary. Upper section with flat open-dovetailed top, a molded cornice over five graduated drawers with thumb-moulded edges. Lower case with a long drawer over a triple-false-front drawer with centered sunburst carving, the apron having drop finials, all rising on cabriole legs ending in pad feet; ht. 72.25, wd. 38.25, dp. 20 in.
Condition: Surface altered. Some replaced brass bails. Back replaced on upper case.
