2010, Historic Firearms and Early Militaria, April 28 & 29
34.5" x 25.5" sight, 38.5" x 29.5" overall, with replacement wood frame. Signed in the print bottom left H.R. Poore, Philadelphia.

This illustration was used as a poster by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1907 as well as a store calendar in 1925. (See Strauss, 1987: Fig. WR-41 & WR-63.)


Condition:  
The print has an applied coat of lacquer giving it the appearance of an oil painting. 0.5" tear in left margin as well as two scratches on the nose of the dog on the left side. Small tear on top right margin as well.
