J.C. Buttre Memorial Engraving of Abraham Lincoln,
2009, Firearms, Indian Art, & American History, August 27 & 28
a half-length portrait of Lincoln taken from an image originally produced by Anthony Berger at Mathew Brady's studio in Washington, D.C., with Lincoln's facsimile signature beneath. The portrait is bordered by various images reflecting Lincoln's beliefs and policies, and was designed by W. Momberger. The print was engraved and published by J.C. Buttre, New York, ca. 1865, 9.75 x 12.75" (plate), matted and framed, 14.25 x 18.75".

Light even toning; darker toning along margin of mat; else very good.
