American or English, 1800-1810, white pine and gesso. A fine classical convex girandole mirror surmounted by a carved and gilt wooden eagle, flanked by scrolled leafy foliates, mounted on an circular frame accented with gilt ball pendants and an ebonized quadruple-reeded sight edge. On either side, the frame supports two scrolling gessoed and gilt arms, each terminating with two crystal bobeches and brass candle cups; ht. 40, wd. 29 in.
