ca 1860, a hinged wooden box, exterior covered in black leather, lid has an iron support band with an applied leather strap handle; interior lined with a cream-colored oilcloth. Retains the original lock with a stamped eagle escutcheon; 5.5" high x 10" wide x 6.75" deep.

Only minor wear.
