Tin Head & Ideal Composition Doll,

lot of 2, includes 12" tall with solid dome with molded and painted reddish-blonde hair, painted blue eyes with composition body with molded and painted uniform, jointed arms with sergeant stripes and legs, marked on back with Ideal in diamond. This doll was made by the Ideal Novelty & Toy Co., Brooklyn, N.Y. between 1917-18 and was called the Liberty Boy doll, AND a tin head shoulder plate child doll in original polychrome painted finish, blonde hair, blue eyes and closed mouth, unmarked on oil cloth body with bisque lower arms, in period, likely original dress with white lace trim, 16" high.

Condition: 1st some ware to finish and lacking hat, VG-; 2nd some paint loss on face and fading of outfit, VG-.
