U.S. Army artillery bit, regulation of 1863, made of blued steel with brass coating overall exterior, with intertwined USA side markings. Stamped in metal US on both sides of cheek and also at bar. Stamped AGB right side of purchase and partial stamped maker's mark on opposite purchase. Length 8.5 in., width 5.75 in. Inside bar 5 in. A double rein set-up, rings in rear, slotted side bars forward.
