Lot of two albums of photographs of the construction of the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge (the Second Street Bridge), compiled by or for C. Glennon Melville, resident engineer of the Louisville Bridge Commission. First is a string-bound album of 19 7.5" x 9.75" photographs of the construction of the bridge, most dated and identified in the negative. Second is a scrapbook style album containing 175 3.5" x 5.5" photographs, all numbered, titled, and dated on the print or in the negative, as well as newspaper clippings and a Western Union telegram from the engineer's mother on the day of the bridge opening.
