Paintings in Cowan's American Scene Auction
Cowan's first American Scene Auction will be held on May 22, 2010 and includes American antiques, decorative arts, fine art, and folk art.
A Landscape by George Bladen Fox is one item being offered in the auction. The painting displays animals wading in a stream with grassy area on both sides. Little is known about the artist George Bladen Fox.
Another great painting is a Portrait of a Woman by Theodore Clement Steele. Oil on canvas, the painting shows a serious looking woman seated with her arms crossed in front of her.
Also included are two Christopher Columubs Paintings by Frank Stick. The first shows several men standing on a beach, a boat behind them in the water. The second painting features men in a boat at open sea. Click on the paintings for more information.
