Get a behind the scenes look at how Antiques Roadshow works!

Several Collectors Weekly staff members and longtime Roadshow fans received backstage passes to the 2009 San Jose taping and documented everything they saw, from setup to the directors truck.

The article, "An Inside Look at Antiques Roadshow: A Collectors Weekly Special Report" explains everything you could ever want to know about the Roadshow.

Their detailed account began on Friday, before the crowds arrived.  They saw the set up of the main room, the directors truck, and learned the ins and outs of the operation.  They even met with executive producer Marsha Bemko.

Also in their time on set they met with several appraisers.  This gave them the chance to hear their Roadshow stories and experiences, while getting to know them on a more personal level.  The next segment was all about Saturday, the main event.

They chronicled everything from what people were bringing in, to the exciting stories from the day.  The fans learned what their items were worth and experienced the thrill and buzz of Roadshow firsthand.

This is a great article for anyone wanting to know a little more about Roadshow, or even avid watchers who want to build their knowledge.
